Find Help

Zip Code Search

Enter your zip code to find the resources that are closest to you. If there aren't any resources in your area, call the phone number of the resource closest to you. Please check the office hours for the resources you are trying to reach.

Different resources work for different people. Our list of support resources represent a variety of help options, including trained peer counselors, professional therapists, individual counseling, group counseling, and weekend-retreat workshops.

All of the resources will protect your confidentiality. Most resources are free. However, of those that aren’t, some offer a sliding scale fee and others accept private insurance.

Here are some suggestions to help you navigate the different resources available:

1. Some people find individual counseling meets their needs, others find that a retreat atmosphere or support group is helpful, and others prefer a combination of both.  If you try a particular resource and find it does not fit your needs, don’t give up.  Perhaps another resource is right for you.

2. *Religiously affiliated groups are often open to people of varying denominations and faith backgrounds - including no faith background.  Please inquire when you call an organization about options for your particular background.  Even if the resource does not fit your needs, they may be able to refer you to a resource that does.

3. Additional resources for after abortion help or other counseling is available in your local phone book.  You can look under the headings "Counseling," "Psychologists," "Social Workers," "Support Groups - Bereavement," or "Churches" for clergy and pastoral counseling.

Please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (1-800-273-8255) if you’re thinking about or planning to hurt yourself.

For help with unhealthy or self-destructive behaviors please take some time to review Unhealthy Behaviors.

AbortionChangesYou.com offers resources for referral purposes only and does not endorse any particular group or style of counseling.  If a resource is omitted, it is not meant to indicate disapproval of that resource.  The quality of care of services provided by any resource listed is in no way guaranteed.  If you have a positive or negative experience with any of the resources listed here, please email helpresources@abortionchangesyou.com
