My initial healing started when God revealed the scripture in the Bible from Joel 2:25-26: "And I will make up to you for the years that the swarming locusts have eaten, the creeping locust, the stripping locust, and gnawing locust, My great army which I sent among you. You will have plenty to eat and be satisfied and praise the name of the Lord Your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. Then My people will never be put to shame."
I attended a post-abortive Bible Study entitled "Forgiven & Set Free" by Linda Cochrane. This Bible Study saved my life and set me free indeed. I have used songs and poetry to explore my pain and to heal from my abortion experience, as well, and my first song was written during the time I was involved in this Bible Study. My songs and poetry reflect the truth that God sees us for who He intended us to be, not for what we have done, and His forgiveness is ours - we just need to reach out and grab it. It will wash us clean and open us to the freedom from our pain, guilt, shame. God sees us as beautiful daughters that are treasured beyond our comprehension. My hope is that God will use the words and music He has placed on my heart to bring women closer to the truth so that they will reach out and grab this beautiful, redeeming, restoration of their souls.
